Fête de la Musique - Make Music Day

Make Music Day is a global event held annually on June 21st, celebrating music through
free public performances. Originally launched in France as Fête de la Musique, the Ghana
edition, organized by Phasers Acoustics and Alliance Française d’Accra, promotes local
talent and supports music education.

This year’s celebration spans a full week, kicking off on June 18th with a seminar on artist
management at Alliance Française d’Accra. The festivities will feature live performances at
Accra Mall, culminating in a grand finale concert at Alliance Française on June 21st.

Following the success of the ‘Pulsations’ musical relay in 2024, another relay will be held as
part of Make Music Day 2025. Each participating country will form a local audience choir to
perform a song inspired by this year’s theme: "Taking Flight."

Ghana will present “Dadie Anoma” by Kojo Antwi, followed by a global sing-along of Bob
Marley’s “Three Little Birds”—uniting voices across the world.
No experience required — just come, listen, and make music!
