Accra Indie Film Festival 2025

The Accra Indie Filmfest returns with its 7th edition scheduled for 4th to 9th August 2025, with all festival’s curated programmed to be held at the Alliance Française, Accra. Under the visionary theme “Disruption – Visions of Tomorrow,” this year’s edition invites audiences to experience stories that challenge norms, reimagine possibilities, and spotlight bold new voices in filmmaking.

The 2025 edition of the festival showcases a total of 56 short films from 33 countries, offering a compelling and diverse mix of animation, narrative works, music videos, documentaries, student films, and digital stories. These curated selections reflect the rapidly evolving landscape of global cinema, highlighting both emerging talent and seasoned creatives who are redefining the boundaries of film.

Beyond film screenings, AiF 2025 presents an immersive week-long programme filled with masterclasses, creative education fair, industry conversations, AiF Talent Connect, AiF Music Synergy Concert, and awards ceremonies. These events are designed to foster dialogue, collaboration, and creative exchange among filmmakers, industry professionals, and audiences from around the world.

The festival will officially open on Monday, 4th August at 6:00 PM with a vibrant
ceremony that sets the tone for a dynamic week of storytelling, networking, and celebration.
As always, the Alliance Française serves as the perfect cultural space to host this exciting convergence of cinema, creativity, and community.
