A festival that reminded us why live music matters

Two nights. Two stages. Artists from Benin, Belgium, South Africa, and Ghana — all converging on the AFA Stages for a celebration of jazz and world music that’s been a decade in the making.

This year’s edition brought workshops, world-class performances, and an audience that brought the perfect vibe and groove. Merci to everyone who came out.

International Amofest ’26

Berima Amo’s celebration of authentic music expanded into theatre for the first time — an original Cantata blending Ghanaian music and storytelling, alongside playwright Uncle Ebo Whyte. Artists from Italy, Brazil, Canada, and Ghana lit up the Amphitheatre on 2nd May. Missed it? Stay tuned — Amofest will return.

A celebration of brass — from tradition to the contemporary stage

GG Brass takes the Amphitheatre stage in a curated concert tracing the heritage and evolution of brass band music in Ghana — from deep traditional roots to modern performance. An evening of live music, cultural tribute, and two landmark launches.

The night also marks the official unveiling of the Daniel Amui Memorial Foundation and the launch of GG Brass’ debut EP/Album. A portion of all ticket proceeds goes directly to the Foundation.

Students from Riohs College of Design present their first-ever creations — walking the runway in garments they designed and stitched themselves. A 2.5-hour showcase of craft, charisma, and creative confidence from the next generation of Ghanaian designers.
