“Someone must have slandered Joseph K., for one morning, without having done anything wrong, he was arrested.” In times of growing fears and resentments to all that is foreign, strange and alien, this fast and crazy theatre adaptation of the classic European novel “The Trial” is a fruitful encounter with the unknown, both in content as also in form. Directed by Simon Eifeler, “The Trial” was first staged as work in progress in 2016 in Accra with three (3) actors from Ghana. Fascinated and inspired by the power of the unknown as a source of creative power and diversity, another version was staged in Düsseldorf with three (3) actors from Germany.
