DELF (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française / Diploma in French Language Studies) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française / Advanced Diploma in French Language Studies) are international certificates awarded by the French Ministry of Education to attest the level of French language proficiency of candidates. DELF and DALF are composed of 6 independent certificates under the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

There are specially adapted versions of the DELF certificates:

  • DELF Prim for children from 7 to 12 years
  • DELF Junior for teenagers from 12 to 17 years for teenagers
  • DELF Pro for professionals
