The D.T.T workshop is designed to challenge dancers to expand their artistry through facilitated Dance the Times movement study exercises. The aim is to provide participants with innovative tools that will support their creative process and augment their abilities/skills to create their own new/original dance vocabularies. Furthermore, the training will help participants to unpack their creative intellect and assist them with tools to generate their substantial choreographic voices.

“Someone must have slandered Joseph K., for one morning, without having done anything wrong, he was arrested.” In times of growing fears and resentments to all that is foreign, strange and alien, this fast and crazy theatre adaptation of the classic European novel “The Trial” is a fruitful encounter with the unknown, both in content as also in form. Directed by Simon Eifeler, “The Trial” was first staged as work in progress in 2016 in Accra with three actors from Ghana. Fascinated and inspired by the power of the unknown as a source of creative power and diversity, another version was staged in Düsseldorf with three actors from Germany.

For his first time performing as a bandleader at Alliance Francaise Accra, acclaimed producer, bandleader, composer and guitarist Constant Boty will play cuts from his 2015 released ‘Guru Guru’ album and also pay a distinctly eclectic homage to English musician, singer, songwriter, and actor Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner, better known by his stage name Sting. The concert will be opened by the gorgeous Yazmeen Helwani and Aaron Bebe Sukura & the Local Dimension Band. See you there!

Village Minds Production presents a theatrical play screening titled HOMELESS. Homeless is a play set in modern Ghana, on the streets of Accra to be precise. The play highlights the plight people on the street go through; the hardships, horrors, and the tricks and antiques that are exhibited on the street just for one to survive.
